At the May 10, 2018 City Council meeting, Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor passed this proclamation:

“[I] do hereby proclaim May 10, 2018 as ALS Awareness Day and recognize the importance of increasing public awareness of this disease and encouraging residents of all ages to be informed, involved, and active.”

Over 6,000 people are diagnosed with ALS annually. With your support, Ann Arbor Active Against ALS has awarded over half a million towards research since our founding in 2008, but until there’s a cure, we need to do more.

In our 10th anniversary year, we hope that you answer Chris Taylor’s call to action. We ask that you make a gift today to stop a disease that knows no racial, ethnic, or socioecomic boundaries.

With thanks,

Mike Meister

Ann Arbor Active Against ALS Board President
