This year we will not be riding on Michigan-MSU game day. Instead, please join us on September 14, 2019 for our 8th Annual ride between Spartan Stadium in East Lansing and the Big House in Ann Arbor! More information regarding transportation of bikes and riders to East Lansing will follow.

If you cannot ride with us consider creating your own ride! You can ride any day, any time, any place, even at home on a stationary bike, and still help us raise funds for ALS Research.

Details:

Date: Saturday, September 14, 2019 (bus ride from Ann Arbor to East Lansing at 6:00 a.m. Ride starts at Spartan Stadium at 7:30 a.m.)
Fees: $60 includes t-shirt, lunch and the sag wagon
$20 extra for OPTIONAL rider and bike transportation to East Lansing from Ann Arbor

Rivalry Ride Story

Hi, my name is Sam Sugerman.

Eight years ago, for my Bar Mitzvah project, my family, friends, and I rode our bikes from Spartan Stadium to the Big House on the day of the Michigan – Michigan State football game.

Due to the incredible response and the generosity of so many people, we raised over $8,000 for Ann Arbor Active Against ALS. Because this ride was such a success we decided to make it an annual event! To date, we have raised over $75,000.

Awareness of ALS has grown through events like the Ice Bucket Challenge, and the Rivalry Ride. As the rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State heats up, we hope to involve more Spartans and Wolverines in the effort to represent their schools and ride TOGETHER for ALS Research.
